My Name is Sarah, I am illustrator and designer for visual communication with an academic background in psychology.

In my illustrative practice, I love to observe, draw and collage. I have a passion for people and portraits, but also enjoy projects that require addressing complex issues through the right visual language. Each project is approached individually, with its specific needs guiding the process. I also draw live at events and for media productions.

As a designer, I worked for Suburbia Agency (London) and Rocco Piscatello Design Centre (New York) before setting off as a freelancer in 2010.

Since then, I have worked as a creative director and graphic designer for numerous clients, with a recent focus on public cultural projects. I enjoy teaming up with talented colleagues, curators, architects and individuals from other disciplines.

In both fields, I have received several awards and have worked as a lecturer at various educational institutions.

After more than 10 years of professional experience in the visual field, I decided to further pursue my academic interests by studying psychology at the University of Cologne (Faculty of Human Sciences). I completed my studies with a B.Sc. degree and a thesis on media stereotypes and media literacy education.
